PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cash Book, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Payroll
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Prepare and publish timely weekly and monthly cashflow
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Guide the debt collection process and ensure all accounts are maintained within the approved credit limits
- Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing financial policies and procedures.
- Lead both internal & external financial audits making sure that is it is conducted promptly at the end of each financial year and that all necessary documentation is in place.
- Maximize return, and limits risk, on cash by maintaining bank balances at their optimal level.
- Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Comply with state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements;
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.
- Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounting in a senior position in a large and busy organization with a minimum annual turnover of Kshs.+200 million

SKILLS AND CERTIFICATION:
- Must be CPA (K) qualified (at least 5 years) and ICPAK registered
- University Degree
- Managed a team of not less than 5 people
- Must have handled year end and KRA audits
- Very good computer skills with extensive knowledge of excel, and accounting systems especially SAGE Evolution.
- High level of integrity
