The Job
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Accountant to join our growing team in our company which is a clear leader in the industry we operate.
In this job, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of the company by providing insightful financial analysis, managing budgets and forecasts, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Kenyan accounting standards.
Analyze financial data, including profitability of ploughing services, cost analysis of value chain operations, based on revenue generated
Prepare insightful reports and presentations to communicate financial results and trends to management, highlighting key areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
Critically think and analyze business opportunities to generate viable information for management action
Develop and monitor budgets tracking all variances diligently and providing accurate explanation of the significant among those variables
Monitor and track variances between budget and actual performance, investigating and explaining significant deviations.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
Advise and take responsibility on on all statutory matters including but not limited to facilitating external auditors and ensuring compliance with all tax and statutory requirements of the business
Work collaboratively with department heads across the organization to understand their financial needs and provide strategic financial guidance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA part 2 qualification
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a management accounting role, preferably in a busy
commercial enterprise
Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Strong understanding of Kenyan accounting standards (KAS) and International Financial
Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex
financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge and experience in management accounting will be an added advantage
Benefits:
