Key Requirements:

Maintain system of accounts and keep books and records on all transactions and Prepare and analyze accurate monthly financial and management reports, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement. Monitor performance versus budget and forecasts and provide variance analysis on a periodic basis. Financial control of revenue, production cost, overheads, and financing costs. Ensure integrity of periodic, quarterly, and annual stock take at all sites and reconciliation thereof to the general ledger. Review supplier reconciliations before payments and manage supplier queries and resolution of reconciling items. Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures for the Company and Group. Coordinate the preparation of the draft audited financial statements on a quarterly basis. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and respond to inquiries from Kenya Revenue Authority. Ensure timely, accurate and complete preparation of Management Accounts. Monitor bank accounts and coordinate cash sweeps to minimize penalties and interest charges. Prepare weekly payment forecast based on agreed payment plans and business Ensure bank obligations are paid On Time in Full (OTIF) including letters of credit (LC’s), bills of exchange, stock loans, commercial loans, asset finance and insurance premium finance (IPF). Assist in preparation of annual budgets (Annual Operating Plan) and monthly forecasts (S&OP). Identify variances from the budget and report significant issues to management and provide for a system of management cost Coordinate interim and annual audits to ensure completion within budget and deadlines. Ensure timely payment and renewal of appropriate insurance covers.


Bachelor’s degree (from a reputable institution) in Finance or Accounting. Certified Accountant – CPA (K) or ACCA. Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounting department in a manufacturing environment. Experience in audit, reporting, budgeting, and financial controlling. Mastery of Excel, strong analytical skills, and organizational skills with great attention to details. High level of integrity and a strong sense of business control. Strong numerical aptitude, good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build trust. Ability to lead, contribute, and influence others in a team setting.
