Job Description/Requirements
Department: Warehouse (Supply Chain)
Location: Emali, Kenya
Reports to: Warehouse Officer
Key Responsibilities:
• Operates the forklift to ensure movement of GZI materials and other items to designated points.
• Undertakes regular cleaning of the forklift and general housekeeping in line with HSE requirements.
• Performs routine daily maintenance checks on forklifts and updates records.
• Ensures forklifts are always fuelled and functional. Escalates any repair/maintenance request to supervisor.
• Inspects the trucks before products are loaded and ensures loaded products match dispatch orders.
• Ensures proper handling of materials, tools and other received items to avoid damage.
• Maintains and update records of transfers.
• Unloads the trucks returning packaging materials and returns them to stock.
• Communicates with shift supervisors and managers on stock and warehousing issues.
• Ensures proper use of equipment by turning off when not in use.
• Carries out tasks and operations in compliance with HSE regulations and procedures.
• Reports all accidents and damage to safety officers.
Minimum Requirements:
• Valid forklift operation license.
• KCSE certificate.
• Minimum 3-year experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or factory setting.
• Physically fit and safety conscious.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations.
