Job Summary

Our Client, a licensed fund management and advisory firm in a country in the East African region, is seeking to hire a highly organized and detail-oriented individual for the role of FundA dministrator. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to the Firm with primary responsibility being, maintaining accurate records of the fund's transactions (units issued and redemptions), its investment holdings, NAV computations and return performan

  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelors

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • The fund administrator must keep track of changes in the regulatory environment and ensure that the fund is compliant with all applicable regulations.
  • Providing support to the Fund Manager in data analysis and regular reports preparations.
  • Processing subscriptions, redemptions, transfer and switches for all the company’s funds.
  • Resolving dealing-related enquiries and supplying information relating to funds’ portfolios, NAV prices and investing procedures to investors.
  • Maintaining Unit holders register and files.
  • Processing unit holder’s Payouts/dividend payments for those funds with periodic payouts and necessary paperwork for fund trades
  • Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering procedures
  • Reporting of fund transactions to fund accountants
  • Working with Fund Accountants to reconciling daily cash balances.
  • Preparing and distributing Unit holders’ statements.
  • Distributing interim and end-of-year financial reports to unit holders.
  • Organizing Funds AGMs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in fund administration in the relevant sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns or trends.
  • Software Familiarity – Microsoft Suite – Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills. Additional knowhow of Investment software’s is a plus
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
