The University seeks to engage a suitable and qualified candidate to serve in the following position:
Job Purpose
To provide strategic leadership and oversight of institutional quality assurance and academic excellence by ensuring the development and implementation of quality systems, academic standards, curriculum relevance, continuous improvement frameworks, and institutional performance mechanisms that support excellence in teaching, learning, and service delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitor implementation of academic excellence and quality assurance strategies, policies, frameworks, procedures and standards to improve teaching, learning and service delivery.
- Develop quality assurance strategy, program, policy, procedures, plan and guidelines
- Participate in the curriculum review processes and ensure compliance with the Commission for Higher Education (CUE), ANU, and market requirements.
- Identify new educational trends for new curriculum, offerings, redesigns and initiatives.
- Participate, coordinate in the internal and external audit processes and prepare reports.
- Lead external audit processes, and ensure compiled recommendations for improvement.
- Develop annual audit plan for the internal academic and non- academic processes to ensure academic excellence.
- Set up quality controls and tools, and inspect/ audit and monitor internal teaching and non teaching processes and procedures in the University. Recommend and implement improvements.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to sensitize on academic excellence and quality assurance standards.
- Develop and monitor the department annual plan and budget
- Provide technical advice and reports to management when required.
Academic and Professional Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Relevant professional qualification
- Member of a relevant professional body
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience.
