DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead and supervise all waitstaff, ensuring adherence to service standards
- Schedule staff shifts and delegate tasks to optimize workflow
- Train, mentor, and provide performance feedback to junior waiters
Guest Experience Management
- Ensure all guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service
- Handle guest complaints and feedback promptly and effectively
- Monitor service quality, table presentation, and dining room ambience
Operational Management
- Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service staff
- Maintain inventory control of service items and report shortages to management
- Prepare and reconcile end-of-day POS reports, including sales, cash handling, and billing accuracy
Health, Safety & Hygiene Compliance
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards
- Monitor cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and staff areas
Reporting & Administrative Duties
- Track staff attendance and performance metrics
- Report operational issues, incidents, and guest feedback to management
- Assist in developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for service excellence
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Certificate in Food & Beverage Service, Hotel Management, or a related hospitality field
- 2–3 years’ experience in a busy restaurant or hotel, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or senior waiter role
- Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems for order entry, billing, and report generation
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
