Job summary
GILGIL COUNTRY CLUB is a small community Private Member’s Club situated 4kms from GILGIL town. It serves as sporting and social hub to its members. Looking to employ a high quality LINE CHEF to join our small team with good opportunity for promotion for an individual that shows good kitchen management and creative abilities.

Requirements
• Must have MINIMUM 2 years experience working in a commercial kitchen
• Preferable will have worked in a high quality Safari Lodge,camp, restaurant or hotel serving international cuisine
• Be prepared or wishing to work in a more rural location
• Really good line chef experience including service stove work and a good team worker
• Experience of catering for events would be an advantage
• Must be able to demonstrate good cooking skills – present portfolio and good references
• Must be an organised individual and have the ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with the team to ensure orders are completed to high quality, in a timely manner.
• Station Management: Set up (mise en place), stocking and maintaining work station
• Preparing menu items according to established recipes and portion sizes and to quality standards.
• High standards of plating and food presentation required.
• Must have up to date Food Handlers Certificates and Diplomas
• Must be willing to be flexible – work irregular hours, including early mornings and late nights.
