Hotel Business Developer - Amboseli
Job summary
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Developer in our hotel based in Amboseli. Your primary responsibility will be to drive sales and revenue growth by proactively identifying and pursuing business opportunities, cultivating relationships with clients, and promoting the hotel’s services to prospective guests and corporate clients.
Job descriptions & requirements
You will be responsible for:
· ∙Identifying and prospecting new business opportunities, including corporate acconts, group bookings, and event inquiries, through cold calling, networking, and research to expand the hotel’s client base and revenue streams
· ∙Preparing regular reports to senior management on marketing performance, booking patterns, and competitor activities to provide insights and recommendations for future strategies.
· ∙Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive positioning, and opportunities for growth in target market segments,
· ∙Ensuring effective communication with all hotel departments to align sales & marketing efforts with operational and business goals
· ∙Developing and implementing sales strategies to promote hotel rooms and reservations.
· ∙Maintaining a positive and consistent customer experience throughout every interaction
· ∙Creating and managing annual sales budgets and forecasts
· ∙Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, event planners and multinational organizations to encourage repeat bookings and referrals
· ∙Representing the hotel in sales calls, trade events, and exhibitions to generate leads
· ∙Tracking customer feedback for ongoing relationship development and address concerns promptly to maintain a positive brand image
· ∙Coordinating with reservations team to streamline booking processes for a seamless guest experience.
· ∙Preparing and presenting compelling sales proposals and presentations to potential clients catering to diverse preferences
Qualifications
· ∙Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or a related field
· ∙Minimum 2 years of progressive sales experience in the hotel sector
· ∙Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to market changes
· ∙Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and travel agents
· ∙Deep understanding of hotel operations, market trends, and customer preferences
· ∙Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate international clientele
