Job Description: The Hotel Controller will be responsible for all the purchasing and requisitions of all the hotel departments.
You will ensure that tight controls are in place to avoid any wastage, misuse and/or pilferage of all goods that are brought into the hotel.
The Hotel Controller will assist proactively with cost controls, revenue enhancement, profit improvement opportunities and safeguarding of the company’s assets.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain a well-stocked store and implement an orderly requisition system (Bin Cards)
• Ensure timely and orderly requisition and purchase of all goods and raw materials required by the various hotel departments
• Maintain a list of reliable and affordable suppliers for all goods and raw materials
• Implement controls across all levels of requisition and purchasing for all the hotel departments
• Monitor Restaurant and Bar sales regularly to ensure legitimate use of purchases
• Daily Reporting of stocks and purchases
• Ensuring smooth running of hotel restaurant, bar and conferences at all times
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Food and Beverage from a recognised institution
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the same capacity
• Minimum mean grade of C in KCSE
• Computer literate with good MS Excel skills
• Team player, Good interpersonal skills, Honest, Self-motivated, Ability to work independently and under pressure
