JOB DESCRIPTION
Main purpose of the job:
To support the implementation of human resources policies and procedures, manage employee relations, recruitment, training, and ensure compliance with labour laws and internal standards.
Activities of the job (Detail all activities conducted by the employee)
Coordinate recruitment processes including job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
Maintain updated job descriptions and personnel files.
Support conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures.
Ensure fair treatment and compliance with company policies.
Organize internal and external training sessions.
Track employee development plans and performance reviews.
Maintain HR records, contracts, leave management, and statutory documentation.
Prepare HR reports and support payroll processing.
- Compliance & Policy Implementation
Ensure adherence to Kenyan labour laws and OLVEA policies.
Update and communicate HR policies and procedures.
Collaborate with HSE and Quality teams to ensure employee welfare.
Support initiatives on mental health, safety awareness, and workplace culture.
Participate in audits, career fairs, and CSR activities.
Contribute to improving Olvea Kenya’s visibility and
attractiveness as an employer on multiple communication channels
May support the HR function for other entities in East Africa
Any other duties assigned by the HR Manager or General Manager.
Responsible for the following KPIs:
- Employee turnover rate
- Training hours and training budget
- Employee satisfaction index

- Day work
- May be required to work extended hours during audits or recruitment drives
-Office and Industrial environment (occasional field visits)

- Understanding of food industry HR compliance is a plus

Professional qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management/ business administration
