Job Description/Requirements
The job holder’s duties and responsibilities are outlined as follows:
- Assist in maintaining contracts, personnel files and other employee information and up to date personal records for all employees in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.
- Assist in staff leave processes, by administrating and processing leave and maintaining an up to date data base of leave records
- Supporting the recruitment process by developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, and short listing for jobs and coordinating induction for new employees
- Maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and with management by handling all employee relations issues that might arise, dealing with grievances and supporting the Human Resource Manager in the implementation of disciplinary procedures
- Assumes responsibility for the accurate and timely performance of payroll functions by computing and recording payroll data as scheduled, maintaining payroll records in compliance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the Monitoring and controlling internships and attachments programs
- Monitoring of staff hours of work for employees and ensuring that employees maintain work hours.
- Assisting the Human Resource and Admin Manager with generalist Human Resource matters, including reviewing and developing relevant Policies and Procedures, managing Human Resource processes, practices and procedures.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Job Specifications
The job holder must possess:
1. A Diploma in Business Administration with bias in Human Resources
2. At least two (2) years’ experience in the field of Human Resource Management
3. Practical experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages Should have computer knowledge with experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
4. Team player with excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills
5. Excellent oral and written communication
6. Knowledge of labour laws matters
7. High degree of integrity and dependability
