DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Human Resource Operations & Administration
· Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures in line with organizational objectives and Kenyan labor laws.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS and ensure data confidentiality.
· Manage employee contracts, confirmations, renewals, promotions, transfers, and exits.
· Oversee payroll inputs, benefits administration, leave management, and statutory compliance.
Recruitment & Talent Management
· Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes including workforce planning, job postings, shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding.
· Support department heads in identifying staffing needs and succession planning.
· Ensure smooth onboarding and induction of new employees.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
· Act as a key point of contact for employee relations issues, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
· Guide and support supervisors and managers on performance management processes.
· Coordinate performance appraisals and ensure timely evaluations.
· Promote a positive work environment and resolve conflicts fairly and professionally.
Training & Development
· Identify training needs and coordinate internal and external training programs.
· Support implementation of employee development and capacity-building initiatives.
· Monitor training effectiveness and maintain training records.
Compliance & Risk Management
· Ensure compliance with Kenyan labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
· Prepare HR reports, audits, and documentation as required by management or regulatory bodies.
· Support implementation of health, safety, and welfare programs.
HR Leadership & Advisory
· Provide HR guidance and support to management and staff.
· Supervise junior HR staff or interns where applicable.
· Contribute to strategic HR planning and organizational development initiatives.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years’ progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
· Strong working knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
· Experience working with HRIS systems and payroll processes.
