Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to inspire our students to lead healthy and active lives. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a comprehensive PE curriculum for students across various grade levels. You will foster physical fitness, develop motor skills, and promote sportsmanship and teamwork in a safe and engaging environment. 🏃♀️⚽
Key Responsibilities
1. Instruction and Curriculum: Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate PE lessons that align with the school's curriculum. Teach a variety of sports, fitness concepts, and health-related topics.
2. Student Development: Develop students' physical skills, coordination, and confidence. Instill values of sportsmanship, cooperation, and fair play.
3. Assessment: Monitor, evaluate, and report on student progress and performance, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
4. Safety: Ensure a safe and well-maintained learning environment at all times. Teach and enforce safety rules for all activities, equipment, and facilities.
5. Extracurricular Activities: Coach school sports teams and organize extracurricular sports clubs. Plan and execute key school events like Sports Day and inter-school competitions.
6. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other faculty members and parents to support student well-being and academic success.
7. Resource Management: Manage PE equipment and resources, conducting regular inventory checks and ensuring all materials are in good working order.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field is required.
2. Certification: A valid teaching license or certification is mandatory.
3. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching PE, preferably in an international school setting.
Skills:
1. Excellent knowledge of a wide range of sports and physical activities.
2. Strong classroom management skills.
3. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to connect with students, colleagues, and parents.
4. Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for physical fitness and student development.
5. Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
