SALARY KSHS.45,000 PLUS COMMISSIONS, TRAVEL ALLOWANCE AND AIRTIME
JOB LOCATION NAIROBI
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Lead Generation
· Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within primary, secondary, and tertiary learning institutions across assigned territories.
· Develop and implement field and digital marketing strategies to generate qualified leads and build a healthy sales pipeline.
· Research market trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities within the education sector.
· Build a consistent pipeline of prospective schools through networking, referrals, cold calling, and digital outreach.
Sales & Client Acquisition
· Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting and lead qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
· Prepare and present tailored proposals and quotations that address the unique needs of each institution.
· Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and customer acquisition targets.
· Follow up on prospects promptly through calls, emails, social media, and physical visits to maximize conversion rates.
School Engagement & Product Demonstrations
· Conduct regular school visits to meet principals, directors, head teachers, bursars, ICT coordinators, administrators, and Boards of Management.
· Deliver engaging product presentations, demonstrations, and user orientation sessions to key stakeholders.
· Understand each school's operational and academic challenges and position the company's platform as a suitable solution.
· Attend meetings with school leadership to address questions and facilitate informed purchasing decisions.
Relationship Management & Customer Success
· Build and maintain long-term relationships with school decision-makers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
· Support new clients during onboarding and coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth implementation.
· Provide excellent after-sales support and promptly address customer concerns.
· Gather customer feedback and share insights to support continuous product improvement.
Marketing & Brand Promotion
· Represent the company at education exhibitions, conferences, school events, and networking forums.
· Support digital marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, webinars, and social media activities targeting schools.
· Promote the company's products and services while enhancing brand awareness within the education sector.
Reporting & Administration
· Maintain accurate records of prospects, customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities using the company's CRM or reporting systems.
· Prepare and submit timely daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, pipeline updates, and revenue forecasts.
· Monitor sales performance and recommend strategies to improve productivity and conversion rates.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company's products, industry trends, and emerging education technologies.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3 years' proven sales and marketing experience, preferably selling products or services to schools or within the education sector.
· Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
· Strong understanding of the Kenyan education landscape, including public and private schools.
· Experience selling technology, software, SaaS, digital platforms, publishing, educational content, ICT solutions, or related products will be an added advantage.
