DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic, and nurturing environment at all times.
• Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and maintaining children’s personal hygiene.
• Support the children’s daily routines, including meal times, play, naps, and bedtime.
• Monitor children’s health and promptly report any concerns to the employer.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in children’s play and sleeping areas.
• Wash and organize children’s clothes, toys, and utensils.
• Assist with light household chores related to childcare, such as tidying up after meals and playtime.
• Adhere to household rules, routines, and schedules.
• Ensure confidentiality and respect for the employer’s privacy.
• Uphold honesty, punctuality, and reliability in all assigned duties.
• Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the employer.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Minimum education: KCSE (Form Four) certificate
• Prior experience in childcare or domestic work is highly preferred
• Basic knowledge of child nutrition, hygiene, and safety practices
• Trustworthy, dependable, and respectful
• Patient, kind, and attentive to children’s needs
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
