ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our institution was started in 1962 as a technical and trade school. The institute was elevated to a high school status in 1979 and started offering A- level courses in mathematics, physics and chemistry. It became a technical training institute in 1986.
RVTTI has been a launching pad for Eldoret Polytechnic, University of Eldoret and the School of Health Sciences-Moi University. The institute is a post secondary technical, industrial, vocational and entrepreneurial training (TIVET) institution and is a direct outgrowth of the increasing demand for technical manpower attendants to vision 2030. Since 1986 the student enrollment has grown to over 5,000 as of 2015 with a teaching staff of 108 (TSC), about 30 part time lecturers and 65 members of non teaching staff.

JOB SUMMARY

Duties and Responsibilities:Assessing trainees and establishing health care needs;Planning and implementing care interventions based on trainees health needs;Providing appropriate healthcare services,Administration of medication, providing health education and counselling on identified health and socio-economic needs to trainees;Referring trainees appropriately;Implementing institute health interventions and preparing periodic reports;Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment;Keeping statistical data of all cases attended to on daily basisMaking requisition and keeping inventory of medical suppliesRequirementDiploma in nursing from a recognized training institution with experience of 3 years or Served in the grade of Registered Nurse III for a minimum period of two (2) years in a busy health facility • Enrolment Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya;Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya;Must have basic skills in book keepingMust be computer literate Above the age of 25 years
