Operations Manager- Waste Collection Services
Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimize our waste collection operations in Nairobi. The role will oversee day-to-day service delivery, route planning, fleet management, field teams, regulatory compliance, health and safety, customer service and operational cost control.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily waste collection, transportation and field operations. Plan and optimise collection routes, schedules and fleet utilisation. Lead and supervise drivers and waste collection teams. Monitor fleet maintenance, fuel usage and operational costs. Ensure compliance with NEMA, county requirements and applicable waste-management regulations. Monitor operational KPIs, service levels, waste volumes and customer complaints. Enforce health, safety, environmental and PPE standards. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and service quality.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, Environmental Management, Business Administration or related field. 5–8 years' relevant experience, preferably in waste management, logistics, fleet or transport operations. Minimum 3 years' supervisory/management experience. Strong knowledge of fleet, route and people management. Understanding of Kenya's waste-management regulatory framework. Strong leadership, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
