JOB SUMMARY
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a relevant fieldPrior training experienceCertified trainer with relevant maritime safety qualifications (e.g., STCW, IMO Model Courses)Strong knowledge of international maritime safety regulations and standardsMinimum of 2-3 years’ sea service and prior teaching or training experience in a maritime institution is highly desirableRegistered member of a relevant professional body in good standing will be an added advantageKey responsibilities also include Duties and responsibilities;Develop and deliver training programs on maritime safety, including:STCW safety courses (e.g., Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Prevention and Firefighting, First Aid)Risk assessment and hazard identificationEmergency preparedness and responseSafety management systems (SMS) and ISM Code complianceConduct classroom and practical training sessions using modern instructional techniquesEvaluate trainee performance and provide feedback for continuous improvementMaintain and update training materials in line with regulatory changes and industry best practicesSupport audits and inspections related to safety training and compliance
