- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, bread, and desserts to high-quality standards
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning
- Follow standard recipes while maintaining attention to detail
- Assist in developing new pastry items and seasonal menu offerings
- Modify recipes to improve quality, cost efficiency, and customer appeal
- Stay updated on pastry trends and techniques
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies
- Ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished products
- Minimize wastage through efficient planning and portion control Assist in ordering supplies as needed
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality expectations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section
- Ensure all equipment is properly used and maintained
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Diploma or Certificate in Pastry Arts, Baking, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a bakery, hotel, or restaurant setting
- Strong understanding of pastry techniques and baking fundamentals
- Basic knowledge of recipe development and costing
- Familiarity with inventory management practices
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
