Preschool Teacher (Pre-Primary 1 & 2)

Job Description

To provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment that builds foundational competencies in learners through play-based learning, as per the CBC Early Years Education framework.

Learners: Pre-Primary 1 & 2 (Ages 3-5)

Requirements

• Qualification: Diploma or Certificate in ECDE from a recognized institution, or a Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  
• Registration: TSC registration certificate for ECDE teachers.
  
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a CBC ECDE class.
  
• Advantage: Training in Pre-Primary CBC by TSC/KICD.
  
• Knowledge of Competency Based Assessment.
  
• Skills: Patience, creativity, excellent storytelling and singing, parental/caring disposition, high energy, and good communication with young children and parents.
  
• Skills: Basic First Aid.
  
• General: Adherence to the TSC Code of Conduct and Ethics for Teachers.
  
• General: Must subscribe to the Child Protection Policy and Safeguarding Policy.
  
• General: Must uphold the CBC core values: Love, Responsibility, Respect, Unity, Peace, Patriotism, Social Justice and Integrity.
  
• General: Ready to work beyond class hours for remedial teaching, clubs and school events.
  
• General: A committed Christian/Muslim with good moral standing is preferred.
