Primary School Teacher (Grades 1-6)

Job Description

To deliver quality, competency-based learning to primary school learners, building literacy, numeracy, logical thinking and values, and preparing Grade 6 learners for KPSEA.

Learners: Lower & Upper Primary (Grades 1-6)

Requirements

• Qualification: P1 Certificate, Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE) or Degree in Primary Education (B.Ed Primary).
  
• Registration: Must be registered by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) with a valid TSC number.
  
• Experience: At least 2 years teaching CBC.
  
• Proficient in CBC lesson planning and use of digital devices (tablet/laptop).
  
• Trained on CBC Assessment (KNEC CBA).
  
• Skills: Strong content mastery, excellent classroom management, ICT integration, effective communication, child psychology, teamwork and high integrity.
  
• General: Adherence to the TSC Code of Conduct and Ethics for Teachers.
  
• General: Must subscribe to the Child Protection Policy and Safeguarding Policy.
  
• General: Must uphold the CBC core values: Love, Responsibility, Respect, Unity, Peace, Patriotism, Social Justice and Integrity.
  
• General: Ready to work beyond class hours for remedial teaching, clubs and school events.
  
• General: A committed Christian/Muslim with good moral standing is preferred.
