DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Academic Leadership
· Oversee effective delivery of academic and TVET training programmes.
· Monitor teaching standards, curriculum implementation, and student academic performance.
· Coordinate academic planning, examinations, assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
College Administration
· Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the college.
· Develop and implement institutional policies, procedures, and operational plans.
· Ensure proper management of college records, resources, facilities, and administrative systems.
Staff Management
· Lead, supervise, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
· Coordinate staff schedules, workload allocation, meetings, and professional development.
· Promote a professional, collaborative, and accountable working environment.
Student Management & Welfare
· Oversee student discipline, welfare, attendance, and overall student experience.
· Develop and enforce appropriate student policies, rules, and codes of conduct.
· Address student concerns and disciplinary matters fairly and professionally.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
· Ensure the institution complies with applicable TVET, education, and regulatory requirements.
· Maintain required institutional licences, certifications, records, and documentation.
· Monitor quality standards and implement corrective measures where necessary.
Leadership & Institutional Development
· Provide strategic leadership in achieving the college's academic and operational objectives.
· Represent the institution professionally when dealing with parents, students, regulators, partners, and other stakeholders.
· Identify opportunities for institutional growth, partnerships, student recruitment, and improved service delivery.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
· Diploma or Degree in Education, TVET, or a related field.
· Must possess a valid TVET teaching/training certification or relevant licence.
· Proven prior experience in teaching and college/training institution management.
· Strong leadership, administration, and student management skills.
· Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate teaching and support staff.
· Good understanding of academic administration and institutional compliance.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
· Minimum age of 40 years preferred, in line with the desired level of leadership and experience.
· Professional, mature, organized, and capable of independently leading a training institution.
