TradeMark (Trade and Markets) East Africa is an aid-for-trade organisation that was established in , with the aim of growing prosperity in East Africa through increased trade.
Responsibility
The Programme Manager of trade Facilitation will support the Director of West Africa & AfCFTA and the trade and Customs Director in coordinating the alignment of trade policy and facilitation practices and goals to TMA’s strategy and ensuring that trade facilitation is streamlined in all aspects of the relevant TMA’s projects and interventions in West Africa. He/she will ensure the establishment of clear linkages of trade facilitation to organizational objectives at both the national and regional levels. The position will involve the provision of technical and operational support to border agencies in the implementation of trade facilitation initiatives such as, but not limited to Integrated Border Management (IBM), Authorised Economic Operators Schemes (AEOs), Authorised Supply Chains (ASC), Trade Procedures Re-engineering, Training, and Capacity Building, among other instruments under the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Safe Standards Framework. S/he will support the Director in formulation, review, and implementation of trade policy instruments including trade barriers, trade remedies, and tariffs frameworks. Other aspects of the position will involve leading and coordinating TMA’s implementation of trade facilitation and customs arrangements emerging from trade agreements such as the World Trade Organisation Trade Facilitation Agreement (WTO TFA), AfCFTA, and WCO, among others.Important Safety Tips
