Job summary
The Recruitment and Staff Development Manager is a hands-on, company-wide HR leader responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle across all departments. This role executes HR operations to build a skilled, well-trained, and engaged workforce by driving talent acquisition, implementing staff development programs and conducting performance management. This is not a payroll function

Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and Onboarding
Talent Acquisition: Manage full-cycle hiring across all departments, including defining role requirements, drafting job descriptions, and managing applicant pipelines.
Strategic Sourcing: Execute targeted sourcing strategies via job boards, social media, and professional networks to attract qualified candidates. Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and negotiate job offers in full compliance with the Kenyan Employment Act.
Onboarding: Oversee a comprehensive company-wide onboarding program that equips new hires with necessary tools, integrates them into the company culture, and prepares them for operational success.
2. Staff Development and Performance Management
Leadership Program Implementation: Collaborate directly with senior management to formulate and execute a company-wide leadership and development program designed to cultivate future leaders and establish clear career pathways.
Training Coordination: Identify departmental skill gaps and coordinate with internal and external trainers to schedule, organize, and manage logistics for staff workshops, certifications, and development modules.
Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews, manage the evaluation cycle, and work closely with other department heads to streamline performance management procedures across all teams.
Career Pathing & Retention: Hold career guidance sessions with employees, track individual development plans, and implement strategies to boost morale and retention.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Administration
Payroll & Attendance Management: Work directly with the Payroll and Attendance Manager to manage team schedules, approve time-off and leave requests, reconcile working hours, and resolve attendance discrepancies.
Data & HR Analytics: Maintain precise employee records, manage HRIS entries, and monitor key HR metrics including turnover, training completion, and hiring costs.
Legal Compliance: Ensure all recruitment, training, compensation, and performance practices adhere strictly to company policies and Kenyan labor laws.
