Role Summary
The Recruitment & Mobilization Officer will be responsible for identifying, mobilizing, screening, and onboarding eligible candidates for on-job tailoring training programs in partnership with strategic partners. The role focuses on grassroots mobilization, community outreach, and candidate follow-up to ensure timely and quality placement into the program.
Key Responsibilities
▪ Mobilize and recruit eligible candidates for the underlying training programs.
▪ Conduct community outreach through groups, churches, TVETs, vocational centers, and local networks etc.
▪ Sensitize potential candidates on program details, requirements, timelines, and expectations.
▪ Collect and pre-screen applications to ensure candidates meet eligibility criteria.
▪ Verify candidate documentation.
▪ Coordinate candidate registration and onboarding processes.
▪ Maintain accurate recruitment records and submit regular mobilization reports.
▪ Liaise with partners and stakeholders to align recruitment targets and placement schedules.
▪ Provide ongoing follow-up and support to candidates during onboarding.
Qualifications & Skills
• Diploma or professional certification in a relevant field.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in high-traffic casual labour management and mobilization, or in a similar role (prior experience in recruitment, mobilization, sales, community outreach, or field marketing is an added advantage).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field and meet recruitment targets.
• Basic record-keeping and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with Athi River and surrounding areas is a strong advantage.
