General Purpose
Our client, a fast-growing automotive fitment company specializing in tyres, car batteries, wiper blades, spark plugs, brake pads, lubricants, and other vehicle parts, is looking to recruit a highly motivated and customer focused Retail Sales Assistant to support branch sales operations by providing excellent customer service, advising customers on automotive parts applications, coordinating with suppliers, monitoring inventory requirements, and ensuring efficient retail operations while contributing to increased sales and customer satisfaction.
Location: Nairobi | Gross Salary: Ksh. 30,000 + Applicable Commuter Allowance
Duties & Responsibilities
• Attend to customer and branch enquiries on automotive parts, accessories, tyres, batteries, lubricants, and related products.
• Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable products based on vehicle specifications.
• Advise the call centre team on correct parts applications and compatibility.
• Prepare accurate quotations and assist customers throughout the sales process.
• Process customer orders, invoices, and related sales documentation.
• Coordinate with local suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of parts.
• Follow up on customer orders to ensure prompt fulfilment and excellent service.
• Monitor inventory levels and report fast-moving or low-stock items.
• Collect and compile competitor pricing information to support pricing decisions.
• Gather and report customer feedback, complaints, warranty claims, and product quality concerns.
• Support merchandising activities to ensure attractive product displays and proper stock arrangement.
• Maintain accurate sales, inventory, and customer records.
• Participate in promotional campaigns and branch marketing initiatives.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and professionalism within the retail outlet.
• Support achievement of branch sales targets and customer service objectives.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and the auto parts industry.
• Previous experience in automotive retail sales or customer service will be an added advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
