JOB TITLE: SALES EXECUTIVE
NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME
SALARY: KSHS. 20,000 PLUS COMMISSIONS
JOB LOCATION: NAIROBI
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, field visits, and digital outreach.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to ensure consistent revenue flow.
- Develop strategic plans to penetrate new markets and grow market share.
Sales Execution and Revenue Generation
- Present, promote, and sell products/services using persuasive and solution-based selling techniques.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions while protecting company profitability.
- Close sales deals efficiently and ensure timely follow-up on pending opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Provide consistent follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Maintain high customer retention rates and generate referrals.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing structures, and market trends.
- Provide feedback to management regarding customer preferences and market demands.
- Identify emerging opportunities or threats in the market.
- Suggest product/service improvements based on client feedback.
Reporting & Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate and updated records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Update CRM systems or sales tracking tools consistently.
Brand Representation & Professionalism
- Represent the company professionally in all client engagements.
- Maintain a professional appearance and communication style.
- Participate in internal meetings, training programs, and sales strategy sessions.
Collaboration & Internal Coordination
- Work closely with marketing to align sales campaigns and promotional strategies.
- Coordinate with finance for invoicing and payment follow-ups.
- Provide input into sales strategy planning and target setting.
Performance Accountability
- Take ownership of individual sales performance.
- Develop personal action plans to address performance gaps.
- Continuously improve sales techniques through training and self-development.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree or Diploma in any field (Business-related field is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience as a Sales Executive or in a similar sales role.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation and persuasion abilities.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong reporting, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or CRM systems is an added advantage.
