· Contract renewal is determined each year based on performance evaluation. Contracts may not be renewed if work attitude or job performance is insufficient.
Job Overview
The Nairobi Japanese School is seeking a responsible school bus driver to safely transport students. In addition to driving, duties may include maintaining the school grounds (e.g., lawn mowing), assisting with preparation and cleanup of school events, and following instructions from the Principal or School Administrator.
We welcome candidates who are punctual, prioritize safe driving, remain calm in emergencies, and are willing to assist with school events and staff support tasks when needed.
Working Hours
· 6:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
· Morning Break: 1 hour
· Lunch Break: 2.5 hours
· Total Break Time: 3.5 hours
· Actual Working Hours: 8 hours per day
· Weekends: Generally off, but required to work during school events or official activities
Salary
· KSh 50,000 – 55,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications)

Benefits
· Annual paid leave: 21 days (per Kenyan labor law)
· Statutory deductions such as NSSF / NHIF
Main Duties
· Safely transport students to and from school
· Perform vehicle safety inspections
· Ensure student safety during boarding and alighting
· Follow school rules and regulations
· Respond appropriately in emergencies
· Assist with school events and support staff as needed
Required Qualifications
· Valid D2 Driver’s License
· Valid PSV License (PSV badge/number)
· Certificate of Good Conduct
· High school diploma (KCSE or equivalent)
· Residence within one hour commuting distance to the school
