A Dynamic Group of Schools based in Nairobi , is seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior HR Business Partner / Generalist with the ability to provide strategic and operational HR leadership across the organization. This role reports to the Head of HR.

Job Purpose

Provide strategic and operational HR leadership to drive talent management, employee relations, payroll, staff transitions, and HR performance across the organization.


Duties and responsibilities

·       Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention for academic and non-academic staff.

·       Oversee end-to-end payroll processes ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.

·       Manage employee and industrial relations, including disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and union/CBA engagement.

·       Conduct staff separations, exit interviews, and final dues calculation to ensure smooth transitions.

·       Provide strategic HR advisory support to leadership, including performance management and workforce planning.

·       Leverage advanced HR analytics, HRMIS, and ICT capabilities to generate actionable insights that enable the organization to make informed, strategic, and high-impact decisions.

 

Educational Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or any other business-related field from a recognized institution.

·       Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) or Higher Diploma in HR Management is an added advantage.

·       Must be a full member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).


Related Job Experience / Qualifications

·       Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a senior HR role.

·       This is a middle management role reporting to the Head of HR.


Technical & Behavioural Skills

·       HR Generalist with expertise in Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

·       Employment & Industrial Relations knowledge (Employment Act, Union/CBA matters)

·       Leadership & People Management (team leadership, conflict resolution)

·       Planning, Execution & Multi-tasking under deadlines

·       Data Analytics, Problem-Solving & Ethical Decision-Making
