I.  Senior Superintendent Engineer Mechanical (JG CPSB 06) (1 POST)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a Middle Level Management Position for Engineering Professionals. The Senior Superintendent Engineer for Mechanical and Transport will be answerable to the Director of County Transport and will be responsible for the following tasks: -
i.    Coordinate all technical activities related to Mechanical Engineering.
ii.    Design and implement strategies for continuous operational efficiency, maintenance and sustainability of mechanical systems.
iii.     Take responsibility for time management of assigned jobs and keep an accurate daily record of time spent each assigned job to ensure timely completion of County assignments.
iv.    Advice County Department on disposal of Motor Vehicles and equipment as per the Public Procurement and Disposal Act 2005 and its regulations.
v.    Supervise projects implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
vi.    Ensure effective prevention maintenance of County fleet.
vii.    Prepare and manage fleet records.
viii.    Ensure optimal and economical allocation of Vehicle and plant to Departments.
ix.    Ensure the efficient scheduling of Vehicle movement.
x.    Adopt new fleet management technologies.
xi.    Assist County Department in effective deployment of Drivers and Plant Operators.
xii.    Coordinate inspection and licensing of Public Transport in the County.
xiii.    Manage outsourced transport services.
xiv.    Ensure effective management of Public works.
xv.    Supervise repairs and maintenance of all County Motor Vehicle and Machineries.
xvi.    Plan acquisition. maintenance, inspection and advice on disposal of County Vehicles and Electron Mechanical Equipment.
xvii.     Any other duties as may be assigned by the Director of County Transport.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to the Grade of the Senior Superintendent Engineer for Mechanical and Transport, a Candidate must have the following qualifications: -
i.     Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institution or any other relevant equivalent qualification.
ii.     He/she should be a registered graduate Engineer by Engineers Registration Board with at least three (3) years of relevant experience.

iii.     Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership and Integrity.

b) Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
c)  Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
d) Clearance from the Ethics &Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
e)  Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
