Skills Provision is searching for a Senior Trade Finance Support Officer for a company in Africa.

The employing company is a leading financial institution within Kenya.

The Role

Take up, examine, and negotiate documents presented under import licenses according to relative international rules and procedures, observe discrepancies if any. Process claims for payment received, check for conformity with related conditions and procedures, and take the necessary action in case of conformity or unconformity. Issue advising letters for Export and amend after checking conditions and determine if any irregularities exist. Take up, examine, negotiate all relevant documents. Input transactions data to the Trade Finance automated System. Support the Board of Directors. Provide internal and external reports as necessary.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in commerce or equivalent certificate. At least 5 years of Trade Finance related banking experience in one of the major banks Good communication skills in English and Arabic to communicate effectively and both verbally and in writing. Competent in the use of PC Systems and quick understanding of functionality and underlying processes. Strong team player being able to self-manage. Organised and able to work with minimum supervision using good business judgment.
