Senior/Junior Accountant – Australian Client Accounting (Nairobi Office)

KSH Group is an Australian professional services firm operating across accounting, finance, immigration, lending, and advisory services. We service hundreds of Australian businesses and are expanding our Nairobi accounting division.

You will be trained to Australian accounting standards and eventually manage your own portfolio of real business clients.

What You Will Be Doing

You will work directly with Australian business owners and be responsible for real accounting work — not just data entry.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
• BAS/GST preparation (Australian tax compliance)
• Payroll processing and superannuation reporting
• Preparation of financial statements
• Assisting with individual, company and trust tax returns
• Communicating with clients via email and Zoom meetings
• Maintaining client records using cloud accounting systems
• Reviewing work for accuracy and compliance
• Managing and taking ownership of assigned client portfolios

You will be trained, but you will also be expected to think independently and take responsibility for your work.

Working Hours 

This role follows Australian working hours.

Start time: 4:00 AM East Africa Time (EAT)
(Monday to Friday)

This is a strict requirement.

Minimum Requirements

We are open to strong candidates from multiple academic paths:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance OR
• Diploma in Accounting OR
• CPA/ACCA/ICPAK student or finalist

Experience:
• 0 – 2 years accounting experience (graduates welcome if exceptional)

Highly Preferred (Strong Advantage)

• Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or MYOB experience
• Prior bookkeeping or tax firm experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent written English
• Ability to communicate professionally with foreign clients
