JOB TITLE: SPEECH THERAPIST
NATURE OF JOB: PART TIME (AFTERNOONS)
SALARY: KSHS. 1500/= PER SESSION
JOB LOCATION: NAIROBI -HOME BASED
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication delays in children
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs
- Deliver engaging, play-based, and evidence-based therapy sessions
- Use age-appropriate activities and techniques to stimulate speech and language development
- Monitor progress, document session notes, and adjust therapy plans as needed
- Provide guidance and feedback to parents/caregivers on home-based support strategies
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in all interactions
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Speech Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, or a related field
- Relevant professional certification and/or registration (where applicable)
- Proven experience working with children with speech and language delays
- Strong knowledge of speech development milestones and intervention techniques
- Ability to engage children in a warm, patient, and motivating manner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a home-based setting
