JOB TITLE: STOCK CONTROLLER

NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME

SALARY: KSHS.20,000-25,000

JOB LOCATION: KANGUNDO ROAD / UTAWALA THIKA/FEDHA/KITENGELA/ATHI RIVER


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Stock Monitoring & Control

  • Track and reconcile physical stock against system stock regularly.
  • Conduct routine and surprise stock counts across assigned shops.
  • Monitor stock movement (inflows and outflows) daily.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and variances.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) and minimize wastage or expiry losses.


Data Collection & Analysis

  • Collect daily, weekly, and monthly stock and sales reports per shop.
  • Analyze stock levels and sales trends to identify slow-moving and fast-moving items.
  • Prepare variance reports and provide insights on stock performance.
  • Recommend optimal reorder levels based on sales patterns and stock movement.


Sales & Inventory Auditing

  • Audit shop sales data to ensure alignment with inventory records.
  • Verify goods received against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of stock transactions.
  • Identify potential cases of stock loss, pilferage, or mismanagement.


Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare periodic stock status and variance reports for management.
  • Ensure adherence to company inventory policies and procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance stock accuracy and efficiency.


System Management

  • Update and maintain inventory management systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  • Train shop staff on proper stock handling and documentation procedures where necessary.


KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years’ experience in stock control, inventory management, or retail operations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and inventory management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently and across multiple locations.
