Stock Controller
Job summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Stock Controller to manage their bar and restaurant’s inventory. The role ensures accurate stock levels, proper storage, and timely reporting, supporting smooth operations and minimizing wastage.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of food, beverages, and bar supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, usage, and discrepancies.
- Perform regular stock counts and reconcile with records.
- Ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of stock to prevent spoilage or loss.
- Monitor stock usage and report shortages or excesses to the Supervisor or Manager.
- Assist in placing orders for supplies as directed by the Manager or Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in storage areas.
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure security of stock.
- Support operational staff by providing stock as needed during shifts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certificate or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in inventory control, stock management, or hospitality operations.
- Strong numerical and record-keeping skills.
- Knowledge of food and beverage products and storage requirements.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel; familiarity with POS or inventory systems is a plus.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
