Job Description/Requirements
St Bakhita School is seeking a committed, skilled, and enthusiastic Swimming Coach to join our Sports Department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing young swimmers, promoting water safety, and supporting the growth of a strong and competitive school swimming program.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons for learners across different age groups and skill levels.
- Coach and prepare the school swim team for inter-school, regional, and national competitions.
- Teach and reinforce water safety principles and responsible pool behavior.
- Assess swimmer progress and provide continuous feedback to learners and parents.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-supervised swimming environment.
- Inspect and ensure proper use of pool facilities and equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Kenya Swimming Coaches Association or YMCA Certification, coaching certification.
- Current lifeguard and First Aid certification
- Proficient in all major swimming strokes: front crawl, back crawl, sidestroke, breaststroke, and elementary backstroke
- Previous swim instruction experience is required.
