The primary purpose of an Art Teacher's job is to prepare lesson plans, instruct students in practical methods and theory of art, as well as encourage creativity and self-expression among students. Create an enjoyable learning environment to inspire young minds and help them grow in appreciation of art.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Plan and prepare lesson plans to teaching students in line with the CBE Creative Arts and Sport Curriculum.
· Developing a range of assessments including written and practical tests
· Create an overall positive learning experience
· Assigning and grading projects and examinations.
· Recording and reporting on students' progress.
· Research and implement new teaching methods
· Teach the Visual Arts and impart knowledge, skills and attitudes to the learner
· Introduce new ideas and programmes to ensure improvement in teaching and learning in the Visual Arts
· Serve as a role model and maintain learner discipline to create a conducive environment for learning
· Engage in learners curricular and co-curricular activities so as to identify nurture and develop talents
· Provide new ideas and programmes to ensure improvement in teaching and learning in the subjects of specialisation
· Identify and nurture talents in Visual Arts and take an innovative approach to teaching art.
· Embrace teamwork through collaborative planning and teaching to ensure consistency and improvement in curriculum delivery
· Support Marketing team with marketing activities, including social media and website
· Any other duties assigned by the management.
Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor of Education in Fine Arts or related subject. Or A Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with Education certification.
· Proven proficiency in fine and visual arts
· Valid Teacher Service Commission Certificate
· Previous experience teaching in a school set up would be an added advantage
· Good communication skills
· Basic First Aid Knowledge is an added advantage.
