Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities

Ticketing & Travel Operations

  1. Issue, reissue, revalidate, and refund domestic and international airline tickets using GDS platforms (Amadeus or equivalent).
  2. Manage airline reservations, bookings, cancellations, and schedule changes.
  3. Accurately construct fares in line with airline tariffs, IATA regulations, and client requirements.
  4. Prepare invoices, sales reports, and ticketing documentation as required.

Regulatory & Compliance

  1. Ensure ticketing operations comply with Tourism Regulatory Authority (TRA) guidelines.
  2. Adhere to IATA rules, BSP procedures, and airline policies.
  3. Maintain proper records and documentation for regulatory and audit purposes.

Customer Service & Travel Consultancy

  1. Advise clients on flight options, routings, fares, travel requirements, and airline policies.
  2. Handle customer inquiries, changes, complaints, and after-sales support professionally.
  3. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, airlines, and travel partners.

Systems & Process Support

  1. Operate and maintain proficiency in Global Distribution Systems, particularly Amadeus.
  2. Support internal ticketing processes, controls, and service standards.
  3. Assist in training or supporting additional staff as the company expands.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management, Travel & Hospitality, Tourism Consultancy, or a related field is required.
  2. Valid IATA certification (Foundation, Consultant, or equivalent) is mandatory.
  3. Minimum 2–3 years’ hands-on experience in airline ticketing.
  4. Practical experience using Amadeus GDS is required.
  5. Strong knowledge of airline fares, ticketing rules, refunds, and reissues.
  6. Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
