- Coordinate and supervise daily transport activities and assignments.
- Ensure timely dispatch and movement of hearses, ambulances, support vehicles, and transport personnel.
- Monitor vehicle utilization and optimize fleet efficiency.
- Ensure transport services are delivered professionally and compassionately.
- Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repair schedules of all company vehicles.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, insurance, licenses, and inspections.
- Monitor fuel consumption and implement fuel-control measures.
- Supervise drivers and transport support staff.
- Prepare duty rosters and transport schedules.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of transport personnel.
- Provide coaching and training on safety and customer service standards.
- Liaise with hospitals, mortuaries, healthcare facilities, and other stakeholders regarding transportation arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate timely collection and transfer of deceased persons while maintaining dignity and professionalism.
- Ensure adherence to traffic laws, company policies, and transport regulations.
- Enforce health, safety, and infection prevention procedures where applicable.
- Investigate transport incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure drivers possess valid licenses and required certifications.
- Maintain transport logs, trip records, fuel reports, and vehicle documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly transport performance reports.
- Monitor transport-related costs and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Diploma or Certificate in Transport Management, Logistics, Fleet Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in transport or fleet supervision.
- Previous experience in a hospital, healthcare, ambulance service, mortuary, or related medical environment is required.
- Experience managing drivers and coordinating fleet operations.
- Strong fleet and transport management skills.
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and transport regulations.
