DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
  • Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer recommendations when required.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, needs, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen or bar.
  • Serve meals and drinks in an efficient, organized, and professional manner.
  • Ensure customers receive the correct orders and check in to ensure satisfaction.
  • Upsell menu items, promotions, or special offers when appropriate.
  • Prepare the dining area before service by cleaning tables, arranging chairs, setting cutlery, and restocking service stations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of tables, counters, and the general service area throughout the shift.
  • Clear tables after customers leave and reset them for the next guests.
  • Present bills to customers and process payments accurately (cash, mobile money, or card).
  • Issue receipts and ensure correct cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Work closely with the kitchen, bar, and other service staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in pre-shift briefings, trainings, and team meetings.
  • Support colleagues during peak hours, special events, or high customer volume.


KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Service, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a waitress or service staff in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and restaurant operations.
