General Purpose
Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking to recruit an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient management of both raw materials and finished goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity, team leadership, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Location: Tilisi Logistics Park - Limuru| Gross Salary: Ksh. 200,000 – 270,000

Duties & Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management
• Lead and oversee all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and loading of goods. 
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve warehouse processes to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. 
• Ensure optimal utilization of warehouse space while maintaining organized storage systems. 
• Coordinate warehouse activities to meet customer delivery timelines and business objectives. 

Inventory Management & Control
• Maintain accurate inventory records through effective inventory management systems. 
• Monitor stock movements and ensure inventory accuracy at all times. 
• Conduct regular cycle counts and stock audits, investigating and resolving inventory variances. 
• Develop inventory optimization strategies including stock rotation, FIFO/FEFO implementation, and efficient space utilization. 
• Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and recommend corrective actions. 

Shipping & Receiving
• Coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics activities. 
• Manage receiving, inspection, storage, picking, and dispatch processes to ensure timely order fulfillment. 
• Liaise with transporters and freight providers to coordinate deliveries and collections. 
• Ensure shipping documentation is accurate, complete, and processed on time. 
• Verify product quantities and quality before receipt or dispatch. 

Team Leadership & People Management
• Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise warehouse personnel. 
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. 
• Allocate daily work assignments and monitor employee productivity. 
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify staff development opportunities. 
• Promote employee engagement while maintaining discipline and operational standards. 

Health, Safety & Compliance
• Ensure strict adherence to workplace health and safety regulations and company policies. 
• Conduct regular warehouse safety inspections and implement corrective actions where necessary. 
• Promote a safe working environment through continuous staff awareness and training. 
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials in accordance with safety and quality standards. 

Equipment & Facility Management 
• Coordinate maintenance schedules for warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment. 
• Ensure all warehouse equipment remains safe, functional, and compliant with operational requirements. 
• Monitor warehouse infrastructure and recommend repairs or improvements where necessary. 

Continuous Improvement & Performance Management
• Drive Lean Warehouse and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency. 
• Monitor warehouse KPIs including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, productivity, damages, and dispatch performance. 
• Analyze operational data and implement corrective actions to improve performance. 
• Collaborate with procurement, production, planning, and sales teams to improve supply chain efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications 
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related  field. 
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in warehouse management. 
• Proven experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment. 
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and supply chain  operations. 
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing large warehouse teams. 
• Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and warehouse compliance standards. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/Warehouse Management Systems.
