WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR
Job summary
To oversee daily workshop operations, supervise production staff, ensure quality standards are maintained, and coordinate efficient use of materials, equipment, and labor to achieve production targets. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a carpentry, woodworking, metal fabrication, or plastic manufacturing environment

- Supervise and coordinate daily workshop activities.
- Allocate tasks to workshop employees and monitor performance.
- Ensure production schedules and targets are achieved.
- Monitor workflow to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections during and after production.
- Identify defects and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor proper use of machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
- Report machine breakdowns and coordinate repairs.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work environment.
- Monitor usage of raw materials and consumables.
- Coordinate material requisitions to prevent production delays.
- Minimize wastage and promote cost-effective operations.
- Assist in stock-taking and inventory control activities.
- Enforce workplace safety procedures and regulations.
- Conduct safety briefings and ensure staff use PPE.
- Report and investigate workplace incidents and hazards.
- Supervise, train, and mentor workshop staff.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity.
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding of workshop personnel when required.
- Foster teamwork and a positive working environment.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Track production performance and workshop KPIs.
- Report operational challenges and recommend improvements.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role within Carpentry workshop, Woodworking company, Metal fabrication or Plastic manufacturing company
- Demonstrated experience managing workshop teams and production processes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of workshop operations and production processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings where applicable.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
