COMPANY DRIVER

Responsibilities

1. Delivery and logistics:

· Pick up and drop off items to business locations according to assigned routes and schedules.

· Plan for client visits with the sales team in a timely manner

· Use navigation tools like maps and GPS to determine the most efficient delivery routes.

· Adjust routes to avoid traffic congestion, road construction or other delays.

2. Loading and unloading:

· Assist with the loading and unloading of items from the delivery vehicle.

· Ensure all items are securely and correctly packed to prevent damage during transit.

3. Vehicle maintenance and safety:

· Operate the company vehicle in a safe, courteous and responsible manner.

· Perform regular pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure and general vehicle condition.

· Report any maintenance needs, mechanical issue or accidents to management promptly.

· Adhere to all transportation laws, regulations and safety standards.

4. Record keeping and administration:

· Complete delivery logs and reports and other necessary paperwork, accurately and on time.

5. Customer service:

· Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details, answer questions and resolve any issues or complaints.

· Provide friendly, professional and excellent customer service as a representative of the company. 

Requirements:

· Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role may be required or preferred.

· Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.

· Licensing: Must possess a valid driver's license for the appropriate vehicle type. A clean driving record is also essential.

· Physical stamina: The job can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items.

· Skills: Strong time management, organizational and customer service skills are necessary. The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks is also important.
