DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Transportation & Tour Support
- Safely transport tourists and guests to designated destinations according to approved travel itineraries.
- Ensure punctual pick-up and drop-off of guests while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
- Provide basic tour guidance and helpful information about destinations, routes, and attractions where necessary.
- Assist guests with luggage and ensure passenger comfort throughout the trip.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company transportation policies.
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
- Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, fueled, and roadworthy at all times.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips.
- Report mechanical faults, damages, or maintenance needs promptly.
- Monitor vehicle servicing schedules and ensure timely maintenance.
- Maintain proper vehicle records, insurance, and licensing documentation where required.
Customer Service
- Welcome guests warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout the journey.
- Respond professionally to guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and helpful attitude while interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Support the overall guest experience by ensuring safe, smooth, and comfortable travel arrangements.
Reporting & Accountability
- Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel usage records, and mileage reports.
- Report incidents, delays, accidents, or operational concerns promptly to management.
- Ensure proper care and accountability for assigned company vehicle and related equipment.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, transport services, or a related field.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with local and international guests.
- Basic understanding of tourist destinations and routes within the Mara region is an added advantage.
- Physically fit and willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays where required.
