Job descriptions & requirements
- Category Development & Procurement: Develop and enhance all product lines, on-board new brands vendors, and products; ensure immediate availability of new supplier products.
- Supplier & Pricing Management: Negotiate product prices and payment terms: manage relationships with new and current suppliers.
- Market Analysis & Strategy: Conduct competitive analysis on vendor offerings; identify market trends, pricing, or business models; analyze consumer buying behavior.
- Inventory & Online Management: Ensure accurate and complete product population on website.
- Collaboration: Liaise with purchasing and finance for product pricing; work with Managers and marketing teams to ensure products meet current and future customer needs.
- Process Improvement: Identify enhancements to achieve goals related to product marketing and customer service.
- Education: At least a B (Plain) grade in High School/KCSE.
- Degree: An attended (not distance/online) Bachelor's Degree in Information Science, Information Technology/Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in computing/electronics-related sales/purchasing. 2-5 years of total experience preferred.
- Commercial Awareness: Exceptional commercial awareness of the computing and electronics field.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with PCs and Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Internet Skills: Must be an advanced internet user.
- Flexibility: Willing to engage in field work and work on weekends.
