JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a smart, reliable, and experienced Motorbike Delivery Rider to join our Café Bistro team. The primary role will be to deliver food orders to customers in a timely, professional, and safe manner, while also collecting payments when necessary. The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of Nairobi streets, maintain a neat appearance, and prioritize road safety at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:Safely deliver food orders to customer locations across Nairobi within set timelines.Ensure all deliveries are handled professionally, maintaining food quality and presentation.Communicate politely and effectively with customers to ensure a great delivery experience.Perform daily motorbike checks and ensure the bike is maintained in good, clean, and working condition.Report any incidents, delays, or issues immediately to the Café Bistro supervisor or manager.Adhere strictly to traffic laws, road safety standards, and company delivery protocols.Assist in basic errands or stock transfers between branches when required.Maintain accurate delivery records and submit them daily.Required Qualifications and Skills:Valid Motorcycle Driver’s License (Class A1, A2 & B) Minimum Age: 23 years and aboveAt least 2 years' proven experience as a food delivery rider or in a similar logistics role.Strong knowledge of Nairobi streets, shortcuts, traffic patterns, and zones.Good understanding of safe motorbike handling and road etiquette.Must be smartly dressed (clean uniform or smart casual attire when provided).Good communication skills in English and Swahili.Ability to handle cash and mobile money transactions responsibly.Strong time management and organizational skills.Good customer service attitude and professional demeanor.Additional Preferred Skills:Basic knowledge of using smartphone apps for delivery tracking (Google Maps, WhatsApp, etc.).Ability to perform minor bike maintenance (checking tire pressure, oil levels, etc.).Ability to work under pressure and handle busy delivery periods.Flexible to work weekends and public holidays if needed.What We Offer:Competitive salary plus performance bonuses.Company-provided motorbike and maintenance support.Staff meals and other benefits.Professional, friendly working environment.
