DriverLocation: Nairobi
Role Purpose: Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of its client in the Automotive industry, is recruiting a Driver. The Driver will responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation for company staff, visitors, and goods.
The Driver will ensure timely travel, proper vehicle maintenance, and compliance with traffic laws, while maintaining high standards of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport staff, visitors, goods, and documents as assigned.
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure punctual arrivals and minimize delays.
- Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and discretion at all times while representing the company.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, water, tires, brakes, lights).
- Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy at all times.
- Report mechanical issues promptly and coordinate servicing and repairs.
- Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel records, and service schedules.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Ensure all vehicle documents (insurance, inspection certificates, licenses) are valid and up to date.
- Drive defensively to minimize the risk of accidents or damage.
- Ensure safe handling and transportation of passengers and company materials.
- Assist with the collection and delivery of documents, parcels, and office supplies.
- Support administrative and logistics teams with errands as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information and materials transported.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of KCSE certificate or equivalent.
- Valid driving license (minimum Class B/C as applicable).
- Clean driving record with no major traffic offenses.
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a corporate or executive environment.
- Good knowledge of Nairobi roads and surrounding areas.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and reliability.
- High level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Presentable with professional grooming standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and Swahili.
- Preferably above 30 years of age.
