The successful candidate will transition the farm into a high-output, data-driven enterprise, ensuring peak flock health and production efficiency while maintaining rigorous bio-security standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Performance: Oversee daily layer bird operations, focusing on maximizing egg production and maintaining optimal Feed Conversion Ratios (FCR).
Health & Bio-security: Implement and enforce strict bio-security protocols. Manage vaccination schedules, identify early signs of disease, and coordinate with veterinary services.
Data-Driven Management: Maintain accurate, real-time digital records of mortality, feed consumption, egg collection, and expenses using our internal business intelligence systems.
Staff Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of farm casuals, ensuring high standards of hygiene, labor efficiency, and adherence to farm SOPs.
Resource Management: Manage stock levels for feed, supplements, and equipment to ensure zero downtime in operations.
Expansion Support: Assist in the strategic scaling of the flock and the development of our circular economy waste-to-value (fertilizer) initiatives.
