The Head of School, who primarily functions as the School Principal, is the senior academic and administrative officer of the school. The position is responsible for providing strategic vision and exceptional operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, standardized education across all classes, encompassing Kindergarten to Lower Secondary. The role demands strong curriculum expertise, robust instructional leadership, commitment to upholding Christian values, and a genuine love for children.

Job Summary
The Head of School is expected to drive curriculum excellence, inspire a positive school culture, strengthen safeguarding practices, and guide the school toward future growth and innovation.

Core Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Planning
  •  Serve as a futuristic leader, developing and executing strategic plans for school growth, development, and technological integration.
  •  Lead long-term academic, operational, and institutional planning.
  •  Foster innovation, digital learning, and future-ready education models.

2. Instructional & Curriculum Leadership
  •  Lead the development, implementation, and assessment of the Cambridge Curriculum to ensure academic excellence, consistency and high-quality learning experiences.
  •  Provide strong instructional leadership by mentoring teachers, observing classroom practice, and fostering innovative teaching methodologies.
  •  Ensure standardization and quality of education across all subjects and grade levels within Preparatory and Junior High settings.
  •  Champion inclusivity and differently abled student learning by implementing appropriate support systems and differentiated instruction.

3. Staff Leadership & Development
  •  Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-caliber teaching in collaboration with the human resource department.
  •  Design and implement effective professional development programs to enhance staff skills and pedagogical knowledge.
  •  Manage, mentor, and evaluate teachers, Heads of Departments, and support staff.
  •  Foster strong management of the team by promoting a collaborative, accountable, and high- performing work environment.
  •  Uphold staff discipline, work ethics, and pastoral expectations.

4. Student Development & Wellbeing
  •  Ensure holistic development in line with the school’s mission—academically, socially, morally, and spiritually.
  •  Oversee discipline systems, student welfare programs, and behaviour management.

5. Parent, Community & Stakeholder Engagement
  •  Build strong relationships with parents through open communication, effective feedback mechanisms, and expertise in dealing with parents.
  •  Represent the school to external bodies, partners, and accreditation authorities.
  •  Maintain a visible presence in the school community and events.

6. School Culture
  •  Uphold and embody the school's Christian values in all interactions and policies, promoting a Christ-centered learning environment.
  •  Cultivate a positive culture management system that promotes respect, safety, and academic ambition for students and staff.

Qualifications & Experience
Education:
  •  A Master's Degree in Education, Education Leadership or a related field.
  •  A Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant teaching qualification.

Experience:
  •  Significant, high-level administrative or leadership experience as a Principal or Head of School
  •  Minimum 7–10 years in senior school leadership roles.
  •  Strong background in Cambridge/International Curriculum
  •  Direct experience overseeing both Preparatory and Junior High School levels is mandatory.
  •  Demonstrable track record of successful curriculum implementation, team management, and stakeholder engagement.
  •  Registered under the Teachers Service Commission and issued with a TSC number.
